Learning objectives this week...

Unit of Inquiry Theme: HOW WE EXPRESS OURSELVES (An inquiry into the ways we reflect on, extend and enjoy our creativity)

• We will continue our learning about the structure of constructed responses to text and review previous reading skills learned. (Assessment Friday)
• We will continue our literary book study on the book Wonder. We will continue our learning of how to use the RACE strategy. Please remember that students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes daily. 
• We will focus on narrative writing and the components of a narrative text.
• In math we will learn how to write decimals as fractions and fractions as decimals (tenths and hundredths) (Assessment Friday)
• We will continue our learning of the Civil War.
• In grammar we will be reviewing using homophones (task Thursday). 

Our field trip to the Fernbank Museum id April 19th. Permission slips have gone home. The cost is $16. Permission slip and fee are due no later than Friday April 12. If there is a financial need, please let me know. We are in need of 1 chaperone. The adult fee is $20 and you will need to meet us at the museum. Please let me know if you are interested.
