About Red Ribbon Week:
Red Ribbon Week is a time for us
to focus on healthy behaviors and drug and bully free choices. The
theme is “Life is your Journey-Travel Drug Free”
Red Ribbon week was started all
across the United States in 1985 in honor of a United States drug enforcement
officer who was harmed by people who sold drugs. People started wearing
and displaying red ribbons to show support for the fight against drugs. This
month, October, is also National Bullying Prevention Month.
This week we will have special
fun theme days each day to show our support and remind us of the fight against
bullying and drugs as well as our decision to make healthy choices.
****Remember, You still have to
wear standard school attire bottoms (except for career dress up day)!!
