Learning objectives this week...

Unit of Inquiry Theme: (Finishing- Sharing the Planet: An inquiry into communities and the relationships within and between them.)

  • We will continue our research about ecosystems and the roles that various plants and organisms play within them. In our research we will learn to read closely paying special attention to important information. We will take notes of important facts and determine how we can organize them to teach others about our research. Please remember that students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes daily.
  • In math we will continue our learning of finding the perimeter of figures and we will be introducing Multiplicative Comparisons and how to use bar models as a visual tool for them. The 2nd quarter focuses a lot on multiplication, so it is important that students are fluent with facts.
  • We will also be learning more about life after the American Revolution.
